SPEAKER_05: What if they had three hundred accounts like that though? It is a scale thing.

SPEAKER_04: It's totally a scale thing. Have you seen some of the farms? I love the I love the mobile farms. Oh, the mobile farms are with all the phones just like that. Yeah, just racks and racks and racks and racks. Oh my gosh. Like the data center rack, but like the density uh just it blows my mind. It blows my mind. Right?

SPEAKER_05: And every one of them has a cable coming out of them, which is crazy too. Yeah. Um yeah, I don't know. They're it's all a big sh, you know, sham bullshit thing. I'd uh You know, sometimes I wake up in the morning and I'm just like, I wish I was an orca. Just you know, I could swim in the ocean. I'd be an intense predator. Like it wouldn't be that much different. I'd have a pod to hang out with. It'd be fine. I'd be fine as an orca. I'd almost be okay to be in like stupid seaworld swimming around in a circle. It's better than this.

SPEAKER_01: Uh I mean, I don't know. I'm not sure.

SPEAKER_05: You wouldn't want to be an orca. I want to be an orca.

SPEAKER_04: Well, you know, I've well, okay. The cool part about orcas is like they're training each other to go and attack boats and stuff. Which I think is just hilarious. That it's like going to the mall.

SPEAKER_05: Like, hey, let's go to the mall. Okay. Like, see, we're getting out, we're having fun, tipping boats.

SPEAKER_04: It's exactly instead of cow tipping, they're gonna be, you know, boat tipping. Oh, and I saw I saw this video of a dude like doing ocean kayaking or something, or he was on like a paddleboard or something, and there's two orcas like like cruising around underneath him, and he's like, Oh, look at this, isn't this cool? I'm thinking, dude.

SPEAKER_05: You better run. You can't outrun them. You better not smell like like tuna at all.

SPEAKER_04: Dude, do you look like a seal right now? Don't stick your feet in and paddle. Yeah. Yeah, no, I would be terrified. Totally checking them out and stuff, and I'm like, you know what? It'd be one thing if it were like a different whale, but that one that one, yeah.

SPEAKER_05: No, no, no, no. So we occasionally we would go out past Channel Island National Park, like off Ventura, and that's where you see some orcas every once in a while. And we had a couple that were chasing a seal just all over the place. And it and like we're like, he's gonna win. Like that's and the seal outsmarted those guys, and I don't know how. There were three of them. But then there was a pod of a like a male, a female, and a couple babies, and the male hung around the boat, yeah, and we were all taking pictures and everything, and mom and the kids left. Yeah, and then when he realized they were far enough away, he left us. So he was there to distract us while the babies got away, you know.

Month over month. So month over month growth from January to February was about 30, I think it's 34 or 35%, which was like, well, that's pretty good.

SPEAKER_04: And what I thought was really interesting was last weekend, not this last one, but the weekend before, which was was that which one is that? Let me look. Not neural nets, but LEDs. LEDs was a big weekend. Like we started on Thursday, because I released right at a Thursday. Uh huh. Thursday night. And then Thursday, Friday, Saturday were all big, and it was like a you know, 100 listeners over the weekend, just in one weekend.

SPEAKER_05: Well, so maybe we should do the release on Thursday.

SPEAKER_04: Yeah, that's what I was thinking, and so I'll probably switch it to Thursday, and I'll try to get it earlier in the in the cycle. Oh, that's crazy. These uh countries, the last five episodes it's been pretty steady. US and UK are are top, and then Australia's continues to be in number the number three spot. So I don't know who we know in Australia, but yeah, we're we're popular. Right on. Yeah, we're not big in Japan, but we're big in Australia.

SPEAKER_05: Maybe with the Tamagotchi we will be. I don't know.

SPEAKER_04: Maybe that's their episode. I I'll have to put in I'll have to put in the the like the the tags and stuff, the katakana and the hiragana characters for uh Tamagotchi. So I'll uh maybe that you know what I might that might that might jar them loose. And so so Overcast has you know taken taken that pretty heavily. And if you look at you know the apps, I mean we're heavily at iPhone, which you know that doesn't surprise me, you know. Yeah, intelligent people use, you know, iPhones, right? And then obviously mobile, right?

SPEAKER_05: Yeah.

SPEAKER_04: Anyways.

SPEAKER_05: We don't have our ties. That's just weird.

SPEAKER_04: Well, uh yeah, I haven't boosted in the last couple times, so because it just wasn't really wasn't really doing anything.

Well, in the last in the last episode with the uh movies, because I did the the sound reel, you know, it goes five, four, three, two, and it does the beep, you know, with the little the gray, you know, circle and it clocks down. So you can hear it, it goes beep, beep, beep, beep. You know, and then but it edited it out, so you could barely, barely hear it in the in the track. It's made me so mad.

SPEAKER_05: But I liked something weird happened. It was like it wants to bypass the window picker or some shit. I don't know, but I s I don't know what happened. Stupid Apple firewall bull crap. All right. Well which has been causing me nothing but angst for like a week.

SPEAKER_05: I think they're great. I think they're great. And I and they're whole songs. Like, why wouldn't you listen to them? And then I was actually, I've been I've been badgering people. I'm like, you know, there's songs out there, right? Like, and they're really good. Like they should be an album. Like it should be a playlist somewhere that with just those songs on it.

SPEAKER_04: Yeah. Well, I mean, uh after this season, I will compile them and put them on Spotify or something. It just takes a little bit of like finagling to get to get it to work, you know, and stuff, but that's not a big deal. Again, I'll just get it to work. But the the uh do you like the last song?

SPEAKER_05: The last song was I haven't listened to it yet. I think I l wasn't it part of the podcast because I listened to the podcast, so yeah, part of it was in there. So but I haven't listened to the whole song yet. Uh punch that card.

SPEAKER_04: Punch that card was good. I thought that one was so good. I uh when I got that one, when I got all the lyrics, okay. It took me like I don't know, a couple hours.

SPEAKER_05: You published the lyrics, you should publish the lyrics.

SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I think the lyrics are part I put them into the notes. I think I put them in the notes. Yeah, they're in the notes. But that that one took me hours to write the lyrics for. And just you know, kind of tweaking on it and measuring syllables, and and it wasn't it wasn't really working, so I wanted to, you know, use a different rhyme scheme and rhythm. And so this is what happens when an English major gets I know, right?

SPEAKER_05: I don't know. Oh my god. It's not like you're writing Beowulf, right?

SPEAKER_04: Like Well, but see, Beowulf has a rhythm and a meter.

SPEAKER_00: I know, and a structure and uh space. Yeah, I get it. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04: So but but yeah, the songs are doing well too. I get little texts from people about the songs and stuff. So You do?

SPEAKER_05: Who listens to those besides me? Because I'm a huge fan of that.

SPEAKER_01: Yeah.

SPEAKER_04: I mean, like just little from people, random people that you know that I know listen, you know, folks in Singapore, folks in the UK, and folks in the US, and yeah, so Yeah, we're gonna have to hire a singer in a band and send them on tour. So, you know, I've talked about this before, but the you know, the I d I have I'm sort of mixed about recording these songs using an AI tool, right? And you can now you can record your voice and and then have it put into the into the music, which I thought that was kind of cool because you know you're you're a good singer. So I I'm pretty good. Yeah. So I'll have to I'll have to record you, you know, and then I don't know how it works. I haven't really played with it yet, but I'll have to record you and then see if that see if that works. But I'm thinking I'm thinking season three needs to be like soul music or something, you know.

SPEAKER_05: Yeah, you know what? I'm into classic soul lately. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04: You know, like the spinners and 1916 and Bill Withers. I watched that I watched that movie The Commitments not too long ago. I love that movie.

SPEAKER_05: All that stuff. Yeah, love it. There's a guy, I don't you have to go look him up on YouTube. His name's Lamont Landers. He does um classic soul, but he's this dorky looking white guy, but you would never know it. You would think you were listening to Bill Withers. Or you would think you were listening, like he does robber band man, he does a version of that. You're just like, I cannot believe he's a dorky white guy from Alabama. Like it's stunning. It's just stunning. So go check it out.

Only it's like six chords in the whole world, and it can only be arranged so many ways. And that's what they get for making it so. So um, oh, one more thing. SPEAKER_04: Well the AI and the LLMs are better at at uh COBOL than than people are right now. Yeah, yeah. Because it's so structured and it is very predictable. So yeah. Although I gotta tell you, uh this we're uh no, uh we'll we won't delay after this, but the COBOL stuff. So I I went straight to IBM when I was at the last bank, and I said, look, I got a ton of COBOL code, and I just need to document it. You know, we're gonna do a core banking migration. I need to get out of here, and I need to I need to do this. And I'm like, so I can either go to OpenAI, you know, or you know, chat GPT it, or you know, or you, IBM, the people that actually the platform is actually running on, you know, it's written in your stuff. You know, you can help me out here. And they they were like, oh, well Watson Code Assist or Watson Assist X or whatever, and it was some, you know, their whole Jeep, you know, kind of AI code thing. And it's very good. But they were like, yeah, but you can only get about 800 lines of code in it at a time. And I'm like, are you freaking kidding me? Like, what are you smoking? Like we're talking about millions and millions of Yeah, they don't want to spend a lot of money on computers, so they make it really small chunks, right? I just was like, I was like, Well, this is real like why would you And then there was some weird political thing with FIS because we were using systematics, which is Which systematics is FIS's application. Okay. From nineteen sixty-nine, written in freaking COBOL. And yeah, it was just weird. So, but now like I wouldn't even bother. I'd be like, I'd even go stuff it and I'm just gonna use freaking Claude code. There you go. You know, and suck it all in.

SPEAKER_05: So I'm watching this guy on on YouTube, he has he keeps asking Claude every day to count to 200.

SPEAKER_04: Oh no.

SPEAKER_05: And it's been 37 days and it still can't get to 200. And he keeps pointing because he has a timer on and he keeps pointing at the timer. He's like, it won't go past three minutes and five and fifty-three seconds. It's just it won't. If if whatever compute is happening has to go four minutes, it'll just blow up. And it doesn't matter what it's doing. If it were creating a document, it'll blow up. If it's doing code, it'll blow up. It just won't do anything more longer than like three and a half minutes. It just won't do it. And so, like, like it'll be, and you'll see him going like, and it'll be like 50, 100, 150, and then it'll get like 163, and it'll and she'll be like 200. Like, you know, no, if you didn't do it, you went from 163 to 200. And then Claude goes, Oh, I see what I did. Let's do it again. He's like, No.

SPEAKER_00: I don't know. Well, you know what?

SPEAKER_05: They're after authenticity, and I think that it comes across. If you're good at that, it'll come across and people will kind of take a liking to you.

SPEAKER_04: And yeah, that's true. I mean, I think that's the feedback that that people give when I come across them at you know at work or whatever. It's like, you know, they they understand that you and I know each other and we you know, we like the same stuff. And yeah, you know, we just yeah, it's uh it's like this is a little it's a window into history, yes, but it's a window into our relationship, you know?

SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah, that's it too. And people are like, you guys get along so well. I'm like, okay, we've known each other 30 years. Like it's it's not like we get like we know each other. It's really like, yes, of course we do. Like it wouldn't be this much fun with my brother.
