The Music

What's the story behind the songs? Somewhere along the way we were having some trouble finding music that really fit the tone of the episodes. Stock music might get that nostalgic feel, but it was hard finding something that connected to the stories of the episodes.

The songs are absurdist. A power ballad about the shipping container. A lost friend song about a Tamagotchi. A grooving pop song about phosphor coatings.

We decided to take it one step further when we got a few episodes into this. Why not create a fictional band for each season and encapsulate the season in a musical theme. Season 1 (though unfinished) was a heavy metal band. Season 2 eventually developed into a bluesy yacht rock pop band. Season 3...? Maybe we'll hear a 1960's soul ensemble.
